Description
Dancing mania occurred many times in central Europe during the 14th–17th centuries. No-one appeared to be able to stop dancing. The movements were described as “infectious” and many participants collapsed of exhaustion. Even to this day, scientists are divided as to the nature of dancing mania and how it could arise.
