Signature: .RS. ("RS: Ravennas sculpsit" The identification of his work is vexed: traditionally prints with the SR or RS monogram are attributed to him, and this has been interpreted as 'Ravennas sculpsit'. One plate only (Bartsch 353) is signed Marcus Ravennas. A new document dated 1519 refers to him as 'Marcus quondam Ser Antonii Dentii civis Ravennas' (see PQ XXVII 2010, p.287).)
