Description
Greta Knutson-Tzara trained as an artist at the Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm and under the Cubist André Lhote in Paris. She also wrote prose, poetry, art criticism and translated Swedish literature into French. In 1925 she married the poet and dadaist, Tristan Tzara, in Paris. The couple’s home in Montmartre became a meeting place for dadaist and surrealist writers and artists.
