Swedish 18th Century (Room 9)
In the Swedish 18th century gallery, the Paris-based Swedish artist Alexander Roslin is represented with two important works: Double Portrait, featuring a French aristocratic couple, and a group portrait of the Grill family. In both these paintings Roslin displays his superb manner of rendering textiles. The gallery also includes a portrait by Gustaf Lundberg, one of the most appreciated pastellists of his time, as well as works by Carl Fredrik von Breda, Elias Martin and Per Krafft.
